Engaging parents and families is an important part of any successful juvenile justice system reform effort. It’s not always easy to help families take the step from caring about their own family member to advocating for change on behalf of other people’s children. This guide can help. Based on interviews with 26 advocacy organizations and in-depth interviews with eight juvenile justice advocacy groups, it’s a great reminder about what works and how to forge meaningful partnerships for juvenile justice.
