America's Civic Health Index Reveals Millions Working to Solve Local Problems
The 2010 Civic Health Assessment is a measure of the level of civic engagement and health of our nation's democracy using data from the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The report shows that in tough times, Americans are still solving problems in their own communities, using the Internet more often to do the work. The most likely people to get involved are Veterans and those who are already invested in other community activities.
