Archived Webinar: Using Better Data 101

This Forum for Youth Investment webinar explored ways to collect and use ongoing, cross-systems data to influence real-time decision-making, as well as ways to get the best information about "what works" to help increase the impact of action strategies.

The webinar highlighted three areas of focus when thinking about data and information that goes into decision making: Collecting complete data about youth outcomes, community supports and leadership actions; aligning and connecting data across systems and from the individual level all the way up to the state level; and using the best information about what works to make strategies more effective. Within that overview, Bryan Joffe of the American Association of School Administrators shared information about three resources which provide information that goes beyond traditional school data: the Gallup Student poll, KidTrax and the National Student Clearinghouse.
