Immigrant children are the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population today. Though many thrive, others experience serious problems—inadequate education, poor physical and mental health, and poverty—that compromise their futures. Mitigating these challenges is especially important as these children will come of age in an increasingly aging society. The Future of Children, a joint project of Princeton University and the Brookings Institution, takes a look at the status and policies affecting immigrant children.
