Grant: Youth Tennis and Education Program Grants
The United States Tennis Association Foundation invites proposals for their Youth Tennis and Education Program Grants to support efforts in tennis and education among disadvantaged, at-risk youth and people with disabilities. Special consideration will be given to National Junior Tennis and Learning Programs and programs that follow the “Aces for Kids” Program model. The “Aces for Kids” program model promotes healthy lifestyles and combats obesity by providing disadvantaged, at risk youth the opportunity to play tennis and improve academically through a structured environment. All programs must offer both a tennis and education component.
Eligibility: 501(c)(3) organizations are eligible to apply.
Amount: Grant amounts vary.
I am Hilal Jundi, I am a sports coordinator here in Corozal Town Belize. I also volunteer my time to kids teaching them to play all sports especially tennis. I recently formed a Tennis Club here in Corozal. We currently have fifteen boys and girls who are playing the sport. In order to acquire tennis equipment we have fund raised only enough money to purchase balls and some racquets and a full tennis court net and some grips for the racquets. We are in need of so much more equipment. We are asking if there is anyone out there who is willing to assist us by donating used equipment to our club.
