House passes GOP "The Ryan Budget" plan for 2012

On Friday, the House voted along party lines, 235 to 193, to approve Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan's (R-WI) plan for 2012.  The budget plan aimed to privatize Medicare and dramatically scale back the size of the federal government.  The White House strongly denounced the plan, saying it was at odds with President Obama’s “balanced approach” to deficit reduction.
