The Impact of the Great Recession on Children

The current recession  has had a negative ripple effect on children's health, well-being and family finances, according to the latest Foundation for Child Development's Child Well-Being Index. The children's poverty rate, expected to peak at 21 percent in 2010, the highest in 20 years.
