Issues to be Resolved in the 2010 Lame Duck Session
Congress returns to DC November 15, 2010. Important decisions await them: how to spend hundreds of billions of dollars in the federal budget, whether to extend tax cuts for the richest 2 percent, whether to let unemployment benefits for millions of families, whether to enact child nutrition legislation, whether or not to extend Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, and whether to revive lapsed funding for temporary jobs, aid, and child support collections for low-income parents.
