Lady Gaga 'Born This Way' Country Remix To Benefit LGBT Rights
Not sure about you, but we L-O-V-E Gaga's country version of "Born This Way." Kinda makes you forget about all the "rip-off Madonna's 'Express Yourself'" beef the original got slapped with. Want one more reason to love it? A portion of proceeds from sales of the track (available on iTunes today) will benefit GLSEN, the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network.
GLSEN has worked for over two decades to provide safe havens in schools for LGBT students. They operate locally to establish gay-straight alliances and help school administrators encourage tolerance in their communities, as well as nationally to push for laws and policy that will improve conditions for gay youth.
This is certainly not the first time Gaga has used her mega-stardom to support LGBT rights. She was an outspoken advocate for the campaign against Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and created the original "Born This Way" music video concept to "inspire unity and togetherness."
Now if only she'd make a video to go with the country-road version. Lady G. plus chaps, horseys and cowboy boots? Hawt!
