New Web Resource: BullyingInfo.org
The first-ever Federal National Bullying Summit was held in Washington DC, August 11-12, 2010. The summit was sponsored by the Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Steering Committee, a collaboration between the U.S. Departments of Education, Health and Human Services (HHS), Agriculture, the Interior, and Justice. During the summit, the Federal Partners unveiled the new web resource, BullyingInfo.org, which assembles Federal resources on bullying prevention and response.
For children and youth to thrive in their schools and communities, they need to feel safe and be safe — socially, emotionally, and physically. Youth, parents, schools, communities, and others have a role to play in building positive, supportive environments for children and youth, promoting acceptance and respect among all individuals, and ultimately, fostering youth development and learning. Bullying is a form of youth violence, aggressive behavior that is intentional and that involves an imbalance of power or strength.
Help spread the word so that we can put an end to bullying!
