Remembering the 1911 New York Factory Fire

This week we remember the March 25, 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire which killed 147 young workers, mostly immigrant women aged 16 to 23. The public outcry led to the first significant regulations and protections for workers, including the first child labor laws.
