Science and Engineering Indicators: College Enrollment, Funding, Cost, & More

A new National Science Foundation study of the top 101 public research universities found that state per-student funding fell by 20 percent between 2002 and 2010. The upshot? Yet another incentive for institutions to balance their books on the already overburdened backs of their students.
