In Search of Inspiration

College Board president Gaston Caperton reflects on the annual College Board Inspiration awards, which honors schools with underserved students, outstanding college-preparation programs, and fruitful partnerships between teachers, parents and community organizations. By improving their academic environment and creating a college-going culture, these schools have opened the doors of higher education -- and by extension a whole new world of opportunity -- for students facing stringent economic, social and cultural barriers.
