Take Action for California!
On Thursday, August 19, 2010, California’s bill--Senate Bill 399--will be voted on in the state Assembly. SB 399 allows for a review of life without parole sentences given to youth, so that young people may have an opportunity for resentencing.
Advocates in California have gotten critical support from influential newspapers like the Los Angeles Times, the Ventura County Star and the San Diego Union-Tribune. However, we still need you! If you have any networks, friends or family members in California take a moment to tell them that it is critical that they take action to pass SB 399. Open the PDF at this link to get a short script for making calls and a list of assembly members who need to hear from us. Each call takes just a moment and each call will help pass SB 399.
The vote is very close! Take action now.
