Urge Your Senator to Save the Prevention & Public Health Fund
The prevention fund authorized by the health care reform bill is in serious jeopardy. When the U.S. Senate returns in September, one of the first votes expected to come up will be a proposal to eliminate hundreds of millions of dollars in funding that would be used to prevent tobacco use, obesity and a range of other preventable diseases. This would be a major setback for prevention if it passes.
