The NGA reports that Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin has introduced legislation to jumpstart the state's economy with a special emphasis on STEM education, proposing a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) tax credit for Vermont companies that hire a recent graduate in the area.
