Check out this amazing story in the video below about a homeless high school student who was nominated as an Intel semifinalist for her research of aquatic ecosystems.

After her nomination, Samantha Garvey has gotten some great media attention and support for her community. The county and its community have donated a house for her family to live in, and Ellen DeGeneres and AT&T awarded Garvey with a $50,000 scholarship to attend a college of her choice.
